Kelly Doran, the principal of the Doran Companies, is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management. Because of his personal attachment to the University, Doran has named one of his student housing projects for his daughter Sydney and upon completion of the project donated $100,000 to the University of Minnesota Marching Band Foundation. The company has also made other significant donations to the University and other local charities.
Jim LaValle, VP of Development, has 20 years experience in the real estate development and commercial general contracting business and is responsible for managing Doran Companies development projects from inception through the development, construction and leasing phases.
Scott Anderson is the Senior Director of Leasing, is responsible for leasing of each of the Doran Properties as well as external communications and marketing of Doran student housing properties. Scott is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas’ Real Estate Program and active in the Twin Cities real estate community.
Brad Nelson is Doran Companies Director of Residential Property Management. He is responsible for monitoring expenditures, vendor and resident relations, and management of day-to-day operations. Brad’s Additional duties include collaborating with colleagues on sales/marketing for all Doran residential properties. Brad graduated from Capella University with a BA in Business Administration.
Katie Schaefer is the Assistant Property Manager and works alongside the management & leasing staff in handling the daily operations of Doran student housing properties at the University of Minnesota.
